How to Get Involved/Why Get Involved

Spread the Word

Word of mouth is one of the best ways to share information about initiatives that you love and support. We want you to talk about SCB Connection, Inc., generate curiosity and interest in what we do. Share our information with educators, friends, family, church members, co-workers, business professionals, community leaders and anyone that is passionate about combating bullying and empowering youth to excel to their life's potential. Donations

SCB Connection, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) that is operating on a small budget with huge aspirations! We have a short-term goal to educate, inspire and enhance the lives of at least 500 youth and young adults by December 2022. That is an aggressive goal considering our small budget however, with donations we can meet and exceed that goal! Additionally, all donations are 100% tax deductible. 

Why Involvement Is Important

If there is a lack of urgency around implementing Social Emotional Learning (SEL)/Emotional Intelligence and Conflict Management programs in youth-centered organizations and schools, this could threaten the future success of America’s children. SEL and Conflict Management are strategies that are endorsed by teachers across the country. However, too few schools and far fewer youth-centered organizations are adopting explicit SEL and Conflict Management programs or integrating an approach to the programs. Both concepts have been underutilized. While there are great programs at many schools and in communities, today’s youth need more. Today’s youth need programs that are not blended into school curriculum, rather programs that concentrate specifically on SEL and Conflict Management so that youth are not receiving integrated information because it is mixed with core subject matter.


When youth learn to regulate their emotions, establish healthy relationships and make responsible decisions, the wide variety of issues that they face, and the issues that plague schools have great potential to be alleviated. With the implementation of a SEL program participants gain the skills needed to prepare for the challenges of life, and become socially well-rounded adults.


Unfavorable statistics indicate that the time has passed to debate whether youth-centered organizations and schools should make SEL and Conflict Management programs a central focus. Now is the time to act, to empower youth and young adults and to ensure this population are equipped with additional knowledge and skills they need to be successful and reach their life's potential. 


The greatest benefit of implementing The Enrichment Program is that it equips youth and young adults with tools to deal with the issues that they are inevitably going to come up against. SCB Connection, Inc.’s desire is to encourage youth and young adults to dig deep within themselves, process their life situations, and grow from those experiences. By helping them develop social emotional and conflict management skills, they will not only be empowered to work through their own problems; they can also become proactive leaders in helping others with social awareness and conflict management.
