We have partnered with author, Franklin Edwards!

We are proud to partner with Franklin Edwards, founder of Franklin the Helper Children’s Books, LLC, as both our exclusive motivational speaker and community partner for the SCBC 50/50 Raffle Fundraiser.

Franklin is a prolific author who has written and published over 20 books. His works include children’s titles that teach resilience and kindness—such as Just Be Yourself, Bullies Made David Cry, The Color of My Skin Doesn’t Blend In, and It’s OK to Stutter—as well as poetry collections for mature readers that explore faith, life, and personal growth.

In addition to his own writing, Franklin has helped more than 30 first-time authors publish their books, giving new voices a platform to be heard. His mission is clear: to spread faith-filled, uplifting messages that inspire readers of all ages to walk in courage, empathy, and love.

As a motivational speaker, Franklin connects with students through school visits, book fairs, and writing workshops, addressing bullying directly while encouraging young people to discover their own potential. As SCBC’s community partner, he also donates signed poetry books to winners of the 50/50 raffle—blending literature, empowerment, and community impact.

Literacy, Voice & Author Development

Students Combating Bullying Connection, Inc. partners with Franklin the Helper® Children’s Books, LLC to provide literacy, writing, publishing, and author-development opportunities for students and community members.

Through this partnership, participants are encouraged to strengthen their confidence, develop their voice, share their ideas, and learn how written work can move from an idea to a completed book.

Franklin the Helper® Children’s Books, LLC brings hands-on experience in writing, book development, self-publishing, Amazon KDP, and book marketing. SCB Connection helps expand access to these educational experiences as part of its commitment to confidence-building, communication, personal development, and opportunities for individuals to use their voices in meaningful ways. Together, the organizations use their respective strengths to create educational experiences that help participants move from having something to say to developing the confidence and skills to share it.

Preparing a manuscript for publication
Learning the Amazon KDP publishing process
Book pricing and author-copy ordering
Practical book marketing strategies
Author development and mentorship

Programs may be offered to students, aspiring authors, educators, parents, and community members depending on the workshop.

Supporting Young Voices

For young people, writing can be more than an academic activity. It can provide an opportunity to express ideas, build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and discover that their experiences and perspectives have value.

Through select Franklin the Helper® programs, students may also have opportunities to continue developing their work beyond the initial workshop and learn more about the process of becoming a published author.

Community Partnerships

SCB Connection and Franklin the Helper® Children’s Books, LLC welcome partnerships with schools, libraries, nonprofit organizations, businesses, community centers, and other organizations interested in supporting literacy, writing, author development, and educational opportunities.

Community partners may support these efforts by hosting workshops, providing meeting space, sponsoring participants, supporting student publication opportunities, or helping expand access to programs within their communities.
